'The Easter Garden' is an event where children of all ages hear the stories of Holy Week, create a garden, make banners for worship, prepare table decorations, and help serve a meal to their parents and/or congregation. The children will also participate in a worship service with parents or with the entire congregation. Includes plans for a six or seven-week study with or without a separate meal and worship service, Saturday evening/Sunday morning event, or a large one-day event with a shared meal and worship service. Sessions: 1) Jesus enters Jerusalem; 2) Jesus washes the disciples' feet; 3) The Last Supper; 4) The Garden; 5) Peter's denial; 6) The cross and the tomb; 7) Jesus lives. An opportunity for service is included as part of each session. An accompanying CD-ROM includes music, PowerPoint slides, and a variety of printable materials. |
